Defined: Myriad: from Greek Origin Myrias "ten thousand." - from Myrios "innumerable, countless." pronouced [mir -ee- uh d] Adj. - Composed of numerous diverse elements or facets; Constituting a very large, indefinite number; innumerable. To us, myriad defines where great Napa Valley wines come from. There are " innumerable aspects" that go into a great bottle of wine. From the vineyards, climate, and terroir to the people,winemaking styles, and even tourism....Myriad Cellars was created with the belief that all these attributes and more come together to make a great wine. Philosophy: Our philosophy is simple: Creating the most natural and expressive wines california can offer. We believe in allowing the fruit to fully reveal itself in our wines, encouraging the personality and terroir of the vineyards, while showcasing itself to the fullest extent. Thus, allowing the wines to be true to their nature and bring harmony to the bottle. History: "Sometimes success is as simple as hearing your inner voice." Mike started his winemaking career under the direction of Thomas Brown in 2001. Traveling from Portland Oregon, Mike worked each crush "free of charge" to learn his craft. Following his 3rd harvest, Mike accepted a full-time assistant position from Thomas and moved his family to St. Helena. Today, Mike continues to work with Thomas on several labels( i.e. Schrader, Rivers-Marie, Maybach & Nicholson Ranch.) The Myriad wines are custom crushed along side these greats...showcasing Mike's talents and stylistic "purist" approach to winemaking. A 'Myriad' of thank you's for your interest in our wines.
