The Rieflé family's roots run very deep through the history and culture of the Rhine valley. The family's viticultural tradition got its start in 1850. Joseph Rieflé, born in Pfaffenheim in 1908 and his wife, Madeleine Freytag, a winemaker's daughter, extended the property and acquired the very beautiful winemaker's house, built in 1609, in the heart of the village. Domaine RIEFLE's identity is nourished on the spirit of this historic place.
