Winemaking has been a tradition for years at the Hinnant Family Vineyards. Since the first vines went into the ground in 1971, the Hinnant family has dedicated years to cultivating and mantaining the largest muscadine vineyard in North Carolina. Over the years, the Hinnants have been no strangers to amateur winemaking. But it was not until October 2002 that the Hinnants started producing wine commercially. Father and son team, Willard and Bob Hinnant, made their dream a reality. With a lot of patience, many late hours at the winery, and a host of family and friends lending a hand whenever they could, Hinnant Family Vineyards has produced numerous award-winning wines throughout the U.S.
