From the beginning, our wine business has been predicated on a total commitment to creating world class wine from the historic Howell Mountain Appellation of the Napa Valley. First of all, we have developed all of our estate properties from virgin forest to the state-of-the-art vineyards that they currently are, selecting the appropriate root stocks and clones in conjunction with the most advanced farming technology available.
Our farming practices are geared to produce smaller quantities of superior fruit that is then hand-picked into small 5 pound trays to keep the integrity of each individual berry prior to crush. We harvest our grapes in small lots that are kept separately throughout the majority of the wine making process to express the unique character of each section of our estate vineyards. This character is further personified through contemporary winemaking techniques and a premium barrel aging program that culminates in fantastic wines.
In summary, we are chasing the dream of making that one great wine!
