:Wine Rating
:Wine Type
The wine was made from grapes from the Paladini Vineyard in St. Helena and is the winery’s first ever estate Petite Sirah table wine. A heady red worthy of ageing, the 2003 Petite Sirah smells of sweet cedar and cherry. On the palate, boysenberry and dark cherry nuances accompany hints of cola nut and vanilla. The wine was aged 2 ½ years in small oak barrels. American oak sourced from Minnesota adds spiciness and fine oak tannins which complement Petite Sirah’s natural robustness, while vanilla essences from French oak add a silky elegance to the mix.
