The Black Sears Vineyard traditionally produces wines with exotic character, and the 2004 Zinfandel is no different. It is brilliant medium garnet, with bright cherry and berry scents laid over a base of roasted pepper and nutmeg aromas and deep, ripe fruit that evolves with time. On the palate, the wine shows its breed, with medium full body, classical structure and texture, and flavors of noble fruit and roasted chestnuts. It is superbly elegant and balanced.
