Appearance - This seductive wine exhibits a dense inky/purple color in the glass, with slender legs that go all the way from the top of the glass down to the meniscus!
Aroma & Bouquet - Put your nose inside this glass and you'll experience the mouth-watering aromas of voluptuous blackberries, blueberries, currant, chocolate, and pepper.
Body - Once this wine slides across your tongue, there is nothing thin about it. Thick and chewy, full-bodied, and rich with mouth-filling viscosity. The perfect accompaniment to well marbled steak, winter stews, cassoulet and other hearty fare of all seasons.
Finish - The first breath I took after swallowing this wine left me admiring its balance between power and elegance – a muscle builder in a tux dancing lightly across the floor. But very accessible – no snooty star, this one. Good structure and grip.
