North Slope Pinot Gris, 2003

:Wine Type
The North Slope of the Chalk Hill Estate consists of our highest, coolest, vineyard blocks, which face to the north/northeast. These blocks are planted to two Alsatian Pinot Gris clones— Clone 146 provides delicate floral aromas and exotic fruit while clone 152 adds roundness and length. The wine offers up perfumed aromas of lychees, honeysuckle, jasmine and hazelnut. Moderately weighty flavors of lime, toasty vanilla, shortbread, and even crème brûlée, combine for a rich and expansive mouthfeel, punctuated by the clean acid structure.
