This Pinot Gris comes from Laird Family Estate's Bayview Vineyards in Los Carneros Sonoma. The 10 year old Pinot Gris vines are clone 152 on 101-14 rootstock. The grapes were harvested on August 30, 2004 and were lightly whole-cluster pressed to extract the juice. The Pinot Gris was fermented in neutral oak barrels and underwent malolactic fermentation to impart a richness in the texture without adding oak flavors.
