This is a dark and complex wine with a bouquet of ripe berries and sweet vanilla. The flavors are multi-layered with blackberries, dark cherries, and spices with a hint of cardamom, nutmeg, and cinnamon. It is a structured wine that exhibits a pleasant, full mouth feel, a wonderful fruit to acid balance and soft tannins that culminates with a long, silky, lingering finish. This Lily zin will last at least 8 years in the cellar and will continue to develop and show the rich nuances and subtleties of a classic Dry Creek Zinfandel.
