Las Madres Vineyard produced another stunning Syrah in 2006. We picked perfectly ripened fruit on November 1st and knew immediately we had a winner. Aromas of fig, crystallized raspberries, bubblegum and pumpkin pie spice leap from the glass. The palate carries over these notes where they are combined with an amazingly plush mouth feel complimented by baking spice, dark cherry fruit and smoked bacon. True to its cool climate roots, there is ample natural acidity to balance the ripeness in this wine making you want to come back for more.
