The wine comes from a parcel located at the top of the plateau, the underground is made of sturdy sanstone schist, but the arable land, about 30-40 cm thick, is made of sand carried up by the wind from the Loire. This parcel produces an off-dry Savennières in which the floral aromas are more expressive. It matches with casseroles ( fish, sea food, white meat) or makes a most elegant social drink.
