In the glass, our 2003 Reserve Chardonnay shows off a subtle green-gold color that belies the effusive aromas of fleshy tropical fruit, cinnamon and clove that follow. On the palate, those same flavors mingle with melon and toasty oak in a rich, almost viscous texture. With its complexity and full-bodied nature, this wine could easily be mistaken for a young Burgundian wine, although it clearly speaks of its California origins.
