"Our 2001 Cardinale exhibits layers upon layers of dense flavors wrapped in a velvet texture, defining power and finesse. The wine opens up with aromas of rich, black fruits, dark plum, ripe black cherry, roasted coffee, violet, slight herb notes and toasted oak. In the mouth, the wine offers fruit forward essence with middle richness, and back pallet opulence balanced with a sweet vanilla/oak tonality. Tannins are chewy and add to lushness."
