Arrowood 2003 Sonoma County Malbec is produced from grapes grown at our own Sonoma Valley Estate and Alexander Valley's Hoot Owl Creek Vineyards. A beautiful, deep, nearly ink-black color introduces you to rich aromas of plum, cassis and black fruit. On the palate, concentrated, upfront jamminess is followed by black fruit flavors of blackberry, plum and boysenberry. This is a very rich, fruit forward wine with plenty of complexity and great texture. The finish is long and pleasing, with just a hint of balanced oak in the background.
