Cabernet Sauvignon, 2002

Our 2002 Monte Rosso Cabernet Sauvignon is a remarkably captivating wine of substance and layered complexity. Produced from a small block of vines planted in the 1950s, 60s and 70s, its dense, brick/purple color leads to big aromas of cedar and cigar box, with black fruits weaving their way through to your senses. On the palate, nuances of vanilla and toasty oak from aging in French oak barrels are very nicely integrated into the densely-packed, black fruit flavors. A rich, long, blackberry finish with black licorice and anisette in the background add even more complexity to the wine.
