This deep garnet colored wine opens with aromas of allspice and cinnamon, which accents ripe currant and blackberry. On entry, a hint of coco powder entices, as soft integrated tannins begin to unfold. The wine is well balanced and structured with the spice reappearing on the mid-palate. The nice round finish coats the mouth as hints of pleasant toasty oak appear and the ripe fruit flavors last and last.
